This week, we are back to another premium district in Singapore – District 9.

While the picks these weeks may not be the highest echelon of properties in Singapore, they do still represent a pretty penny as it is in a premium location and resale properties are in demand as well.

Why I like it
Rhapsody on Mount Elizabeth is one of those places that if you don’t know, you don’t know. Perhaps its due to the fact that Orchard is bustling with high end condos, and the barrier to standing out is pretty high. That and this is a really small project of just 32 units.
If you like to be the king of the hill when it comes to staying in a condo, then this penthouse unit could be right for you. While you do get views of Orchard, I wouldn’t necessarily exclaim that it is the best, partly because the Rhapsody on Elizabeth isn’t very high up.
Naturally, one of the bigger draws here is that it is in a move in condition – and a pretty well done one for that matter. With 4 good sized bedrooms at a size if 2,540 square feet plus a private lift, it could be an option for families that want a seamless move in process.

Why I like it
This isn’t the first time we’ve featured a unit from Grange Infinite, with the first one being an absolute massive 10,775 square feet 8 bedroom behemoth that was a combination of the 2 highest floors (below the penthouse). As mentioned, this unit is the penthouse, so although it is smaller at 6,680 square feet, it is the highest point that you can get in this development.
It isn’t a single level one, unfortunately, but it is 4 bedrooms spread over 3 floors. The first 3 bedrooms are on the first floor, with the master bedroom luxuriously occupying the second and the top floor being an open roof terrace.
As you might expect for a penthouse of this price, the living area comes with a double volume ceiling, but the only issue would be the lack of an internal lift that goes to the other 2 floors – you only get a staircase here.

Why I like it
Waterford Residence is one of those places where the entrance doesn’t really give off a good vibe to the space due to the rather cramped nature of it. To be fair, it is a common issue for condos along this area of Robertson Quay, so it’s not like you are sticking out like a thorn amongst the roses.
This is a penthouse unit of a 3 bedroom + study at 1,819 square feet in size – so its decent but not spectacularly sized. It is a 999-year leasehold (which is as good as freehold), and comes with an open roof terrace that has been done up pretty cosily. The master bedroom is on the higher floor and opens up to the roof terrace, which does provide a very unique waking experience every morning.
This is just a 118 unit development, however, so I wouldn’t be expecting too much from the facilities. The pool is not a bad size, but it is quite closely located to the surrounding blocks.

Why I like it
Reuben has done a review of Pateson Suites previously, and I don’t think much has changed since then other than the ongoing construction of the MRT line next to Ion.
This is a 3 bedroom unit that comes in a very respectable size of 2,164 square feet. While it does come with planters around the balcony and bay windows, the interior living space is still very decent, to begin with. As you might expect for a luxury development, you do get private lift access as well. The whole project does only have 102 units, which is very exclusive. And the good part is the grounds of it is a plus point considering the amount of units. If it’s your first time there, you might expect it to contain more units than it actually does.
This unit was overhauled in 2017, so it was originally a 4 bedroom that has been converted to a 3 bedder. This means you will have more space in the living and dining areas.

Why I like it
I’ve always thought the name of this condo sounds a lot more utilitarian than it actually is. It’s a strange name no doubt, but at the very least one that you might remember. It has just 64 units on freehold land in a very enviable location, which is definitely its strongest suit. You are within walking distance to the more happening Somerset area, although the “old” malls like Paragon and Ion are just a short stroll away as well.
At 2,530 square feet for a 4 bedroom unit, you are quite blessed in the size department. It obviously comes with private lift access – plus every bedroom is an ensuite.
