1Orchid Park Condominium
$1,440,000
| Project: | Orchid Park Condominium |
|---|---|
| District: | 27 |
| Address: | 81 Yishun Street |
| Tenure: | 99 years |
| Size: | 1,733 sqft |
| $PSF: | $830.93 |
| Developer: | Far East Organization |
| TOP: | 1994 |
Why I like it
Orchid Park Condominium might be getting on in age, but it’s hard to argue with when this penthouse features such unblocked views over Lower Seletar Reservoir.
At 1,733 square feet, it is quite a well-sized 2 storey unit, especially more so that the current owners have knocked down 2 bedrooms to create a much bigger and open space instead.
The renovation is super clean, with a design that would definitely be appealing to most people. That’s always the attraction for buying well designed resale units – you can potentially save on renovation costs.

2D’Leedon
$9,580,000
| Project: | D’Leedon |
|---|---|
| District: | 10 |
| Address: | 1 Leedon Heights |
| Tenure: | 99 years |
| Size: | 5,038 sqft |
| $PSF: | $1,916 |
| Developer: | Capitaland |
| TOP: | 2014 |
Why I like it
For most people looking at penthouses, you could say the higher the better right? After all, the point of paying such a premium is to be high above everyone else. In fact, it can sometimes even be a form of bragging rights.
Which is why if you are after the absolute ultimate view in District 10, its hard to go wrong with this penthouse at D’Leedon. Located on the 36th floor, you have stunning unblocked views as no other development in the surrounding vicinity comes close to its towering blocks.
It’s a single level penthouse spanning 5,038 square feet, which is almost a rarity in itself. While it used to be a 4 bedroom unit, it has been converted to a 3 bedder with a renovation fee of $500k. Oh and of course, it comes with its own rooftop private pool.

3River Place
$1,950,000
| Project: | River Place |
|---|---|
| District: | 03 |
| Address: | 66 Havelock Road |
| Tenure: | 99 years |
| Size: | 1,207 sqft |
| $PSF: | $1,615.58 |
| Developer: | Far East Organization |
| TOP: | 2000 |
Why I like it
And before you know it, this iconic riverside condo at Havelock Road is now a 20-year old project. Makes you feel old, doesn’t it?
Built by Far East Organization in 2000, this isn’t a high rise condo by any means, with its biggest claim to fame its riverfront views of the Singapore River.
This particular unit is well furnished, with its sleek black panelling a constant feature throughout most of the house. The bedrooms are finished in a much lighter wood, which does give a much softer touch.

4Wilkie 48
$1,580,000
| Project: | Wilkie 48 |
|---|---|
| District: | 09 |
| Address: | 48 Wilkie Road |
| Tenure: | Freehold |
| Size: | 893 sqft |
| $PSF: | $1,769.32 |
| Developer: | Innovative Development Pte Ltd |
| TOP: | 1998 |
Why I like it
As with many of the smaller developments at the Sophia/Wilkie area, Wilkie 48 would most probably be a relative unknown. While it is a freehold project, it is small and has little facilities to boast of – save for a small swimming pool and a covered car park.
But if the location is more important to you than the facilities, then this unit is quite well furnished considering the dated facade of this apartment.
– Stanley

5Thomson Grove
$1,950,000
| Project: | Thomson Grove |
|---|---|
| District: | 26 |
| Address: | 580 Yio Chu Kang Road |
| Tenure: | Freehold |
| Size: | 1,485 sqft |
| $PSF: | $1,313.13 |
| Developer: | Far East Organization |
| TOP: | 1984 |
Why I like it
Thomson Grove enjoys a quiet and serene location because it is almost mainly surrounded by a large forested area. It’s convenience is also due to be boosted in the near future as the upcoming Lentor MRT station along the Thomson East Coast line will be a major upgrade to the area.
It’s definitely an old, dated apartment – having been built all the way back in 1984. But, the advantages of older units are its spacious and uncluttered size (1,485 square feet for 3 bedrooms) and regular layouts.
It’s rather well renovated too, with a simple and clean design that makes it easy for minimal furnishings to be done.
