Why I like it
Located in the highly popular Toa Payoh neighbourhood, this unit is ideal for families who want to live in a central area and enjoy a wide mix of amenities and lifestyle options nearby.
Sized at 883 square feet, this apartment is on the small size but it is at least an efficient and regular-shaped layout. I do also like that the deep kitchen allows for a designated yard area to do laundry. One downside is that this apartment only has one separate bath and WC, which might not be sufficient for a bigger family.
There is a sizeable recess in the walls of the two bedrooms, which is functional for homeowners who are thinking of doing up their built-in cabinets. Furthermore, this is a door-to-door unit, which is good for those who prefer a more private environment.
While it might not be the nearest to a MRT Station (Braddell Station (North-South line) is about a 20-minute walk away), what makes this neighbourhood stand out is the variety of amenities located within a short walking distance.
Apart from being a short walk to two wet markets and food centres (Toa Payoh Lorong 8 Market & Hawker Centre and Kim Keat Palm Market & Food Centre), there are other eateries found beneath nearby blocks, along with a Sheng Siong Supermarket.
For families with children, the biggest selling point would probably the 1km radius to the popular Pei Chun Public School, though First Toa Payoh Primary School, Beatty Secondary School, Raffles Institution and St. Andrew’s Junior College are some schools nearby too.
It’s also a short walk to the park connector that runs along Kallang River, which makes the neighbourhood a nice blend of functionality and lifestyle.

Why I like it
Nestled within some of Singapore’s most mature and culturally-vibrant neighbourhoods, this unit is ideal for families who wants to enjoy living (somewhat) in Tiong Bahru and enjoy a wide variety of food, groceries and lifestyle options.
Spanning across 796 square feet, this flat is considered quite compact and typical to most older HDB flats, there is only one bathroom and it is separate from the WC.
For those who plan to do a big overhaul of the apartment, do note that most walls are hackable, so that the apartment can be reconfigured to suit growing needs and personal preferences.
Located on a high floor, this apartment is a corner unit, which gives a comfortable and private ambience to come home to.
Currently, it is a short 8-minute walk from Tiong Bahru MRT Station and Redhill Station (both on the East-West line). Apart from the multiple coffee shops located within a short walking distance, it’s also near Bukit Merah View Market & Hawker Centre, Redhill Market, Beo Crescent Market and several shopping malls nearby. Not to mention, it’s also within a short drive to the cafes dotted along Tiong Bahru
Families with children might find that the wide variety of schools nearby to be one of the key factors, too. This includes Gan Eng Seng Primary School, Alexandra Primary School, Zhangde Primary School and Gan Eng Seng School.

Why I like it
Overlooking the landed enclave of Shangri-la Walk in Ang Mo Kio, this apartment is ideal for homeowners who like a more private home that is near to a MRT Station.
Sized at a generous 1,044 square feet, this unit comes with three good-sized bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious living room, a store room, a utility room, and a well-sized kitchen. The layout is also very efficient to better maximise usage of the space and might suit families who prioritise having a flexible layout.
On a separate note, this unit does retain its original funky tiles, which does give a bit more character to the space. Seeing that it’s a door-to-door unit, coming home would be a private experience for the homeowners.
Taking a look at its location, it’s about a 5-minute walk to Mayflower MRT Station (Thomson-East Coast line) and overlooks the tranquil landed enclave nearby. It’s also within a walking distance to two wet markets and food centres, so residents can pick up affordable and convenient bites and groceries.
The Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park is a short walk away, which is deal for those who want a mix of lifestyle element and amenities within their neighbourhood.
For families with schooling children, some schools nearby include CHIJ St Nicholas Girls’ School, Ai Tong School, Ang Mo Kio Primary School, Mayflower Secondary School, Pierce Secondary School and Eunoia Junior College.

Why I like it
Overlooking the Central Expressway, this apartment located in Whampoa is sized at 979 square feet.
Interestingly enough, this apartment has a rather unique layout with a landscape living and dining area and the bedrooms tucked away in another corner of the apartment. It does come with three bedrooms, a compact kitchen, along with a bath area that is separate from the WC.
This apartment has also undergone renovations recently, in which the previous owners chose a neutral white and light-wood finishing, which is easy to work with and add on for the next homeowners. That said, this allows a cut back on renovatio costs for homeowners who are not picky. The block has a point block layout with only four neighbours on each floor, which is ideal for those who prefer a more quiet environment.
While it might not be the nearest to a MRT Station, residents can choose to take a short bus ride to Novena MRT Station (North-South line), or a 15-minute walk to Boon Keng MRT Station (North-East line).
There are also plenty of food and grocery options found at the nearby Whampoa Makan Place, Whampoa Food Centre and shophouses along Balestier Road. The park connector to Kallang Riverside Park is also a short walk away.
There are many schools nearby too, including Farrer Park Primary School, Hong Wen School, St. Joseph’s Institution Junior and Northlight School.

Why I like it
Located on a high floor, this apartment is a great option for homeowners who is looking for a spacious, windy and bright space to call home.
Sized at 904 square feet, it has a rather unique curved layout and offers three well-sized bedrooms, a spacious living area, a rather compact kitchen that comes with a balcony and a separate bath area and WC. Notably, the living area is sheathed with a row of windows to allow more natural light into the apartment and have better wind ventilation. This also allows homeowners to enjoy unblocked views of the neighbourhood.
Located a 10-minute walk under the HDB blocks to Queenstown MRT Station (East-West line), the neighbourhood is flanked with a wide variety of amenities nearby. Those looking for affordable food and groceries can make a short walk down to Mei Ling Market & Food Centre or ABC Brickworks Market & Food Centre, whereas Anchorpoint, Alexandra Central Mall and the cafes located nearby also offers a nice variety across different price points. IKEA Alexandra is a nice addition to the neighbourhood to have too, and it’s a popular haunt for families over the weekends.
Seeing that the park connector is a short walk away, residents can get to green spaces like Hortpark, Telok Blangah Hill Park and Labrador Park fairly easily.
Some schools nearby include Queenstown Primary School, Blangah Rise Primary School, Gan Eng Seng Primary School and New Town Primary School. Getting to tertiary institutions like Singapore Polytechnic, Anglo-Chinese Junior College and NUS are also fairly convenient via MRT.
