Bendemeer Light was launched in the 2012 May BTO exercise alongside 5 other projects – Two in Punggol, one in Choa Chu Kang, one in Sengkang and another in the Kallang/Whampoa estate (same as Bendemeer Light).
Prices of both the 3 and 4-room flats were going at around $360,000 and $525,000 respectively, making it relatively costly for a BTO, but it certainly didn’t stop people from applying anyway.
Today, 4-room flats are going for around $900,000 – some of the highest in Singapore.
But with nice unblocked views, transport links, amenities, and being within walking distance to the Park Connector, it does have a lot to offer.
For families, it is within 1km to 3 primary schools too. That said, while it is convenient, the area could feel too urban for some, especially since it’s surrounded by roads that see high traffic.
Ultimately, this would really depend on what your priorities are.
For this price, you can get almost any HDB in Singapore – so really think if the location or view is something you value, otherwise, perhaps there are better alternatives for you.
