Misleading and inaccurate. There is just one entrance and one Unit number. You pay one property tax. How is this even dual key? And spend $100k on the contractor? Madness. Very poor article

It’s not dual key. It’s “dual key”

Hi, but that’s exactly what a dual-key unit is. You have 1 entrance with 2 entrances inside via a shared foyer and you don’t have to pay the ABSD to achieve having 2 separate units since it’s only under 1 title.

I personally think this is a brilliant idea. Even if it’s not for personal use, it can be rented out without sacrificing privacy. The only question is whether HDB will allow it.

Hey! It’s possible, just whether or not the renovations follow guidelines since you can rent bedrooms out. The most important point is to create a shared foyer space to separate units.

Oh! It’s a HDB, not condo? I thought condo. No lah, from the original video, pretty sure it’s a condo, not HDB.

Very smart property buyer. The condo looks very familiar to me, I think I know which one! LOL! The cost for reno is actually the hidden works like relocate walls, add plumbing, run new ducts , re run piping. However, I do note the reno work is really quite basic, no a very high end design. To @irrelevant: the point is it’s one unit but it’s effectively a DK unit. Can rent out the studio. So actually, buyer paid for a 3 BR, but now it’s a 3+1 DK unit, which essentially immediately raises the perceived value of the unit as the unit has “jumped up” into the higher bracket priced layout.
