1The Loft

$2,980,000
Project: | The Loft |
---|---|
District: | 10 |
Address: | 22 Nassim Hill |
Tenure: | 99 years |
Size: | 1,324 sqft |
$PSF: | $2,250.76 |
Developer: | Capital Residential Ltd |
TOP: | 2002 |
Why I like it
There’s a reason why the Nassim area is home to many of the richest people in Singapore. It’s centrally located (walking distance to Orchard), low rise, low density, and surrounded by greenery – a combination that is not easy to find unless you are willing to live further out.
So for those that aspire to live in the Nassim vicinity, the Loft represents the most affordable entry point, mainly due to its 99 year leasehold status and its age. That said, even though it is nearly 20 years of age its modern looks can rival most condos nowadays still.
The layout of this one may be quite an odd shape but it’s not a bad size at all for a 3 bedroom unit – plus it’s still rather well furbished!
– Ryan

2Principal Garden

$1,450,000
Project: | Principal Garden |
---|---|
District: | 03 |
Address: | 91 Prince Charles Crescent |
Tenure: | 99 years |
Size: | 765 sqft |
$PSF: | $1,895.42/td> |
Developer: | UOL Group Limited |
TOP: | 2019 |
Why I like it
Principal Garden is one of those places that you just have to see to understand what it’s all about. It might not be the best option for those that rely a lot on the MRT, but its liveability aspects are something that is very attractive. It’s in a central location (for drivers), yet it’s set back far enough because of the canal to mitigate some of the road noise.
The grounds are exemplary, well-kept and you do get a very open feeling as you walk around. For those people that practically live in the pool on weekends, the Principal Garden is probably one of the best choices with its 13 swimming pools.
For a 2 bedroom unit, 765 square feet is considered to be on the upper end in terms of size for newer condos today. There are a number of units for sale currently, and this one is the best in terms of its interior design.

3Binjai Park

$1,630,000
Project: | Binjai Walk Walk-up |
---|---|
District: | 21 |
Address: | Binjai Park |
Tenure: | Freehold |
Size: | 1,033 sqft |
$PSF: | $1,577.93 |
Developer: | – |
TOP: | – |
Why I like it
Ever since Ryan wrote about walk-up apartments in Singapore, I can’t quite help but notice walk-up apartments now. I can see the attraction – very low monthly maintenance, good squarish layouts, and a place with a ton of character. Plus, you can fully renovate the insides to exactly how you envision your home to be.
This one at Binjai Park is probably one of the better ones in terms of location – its only about an 8 minute walk to King Albert Park MRT station. Not to mention, there’s food right downstairs!
I really like the decor of the apartment too, its stylish and simple enough. The view out from the balcony is nice too, not in the conventional sense but because it is all low-lying landed homes it gives you a good sense of space. Probably the only downside for me is the 1 bathroom!
– Reuben

4Kembangan Penthouse

$1,690,000
Project: | Kembangan Penthouse |
---|---|
District: | 14 |
Address: | Jalan Kembangan |
Tenure: | Freehold |
Size: | 1,604 sqft |
$PSF: | $1,053.62 |
Developer: | – |
TOP: | – |
Why I like it
As from its name, this duplex penthouse has 2 levels, with the master bedroom, roof terrace, and family room located on the top level. The roof terrace is sheltered too, which gives it more usability given Singapore’s sometimes unpredictable weather. The unit comes with outdoor blinds too, if you really want to keep the place almost fully enclosed.
Although it is listed as a 3 bedroom, the family room is probably too small to be a proper bedroom – so just something to take note of.
– Stanley

5International Plaza

$2,650,000
Project: | International Plaza |
---|---|
District: | 02 |
Address: | 10 Anson Road |
Tenure: | 99 years |
Size: | 1,605 sqft |
$PSF: | $1,651.09 |
Developer: | International Associated Co Pte Ltd |
TOP: | 1976 |
Why I like it
This 2 bedroom apartment at International Plaza is absolutely massive, coming in at 1,605 square feet. If space and location is what you’re after, this is probably one of the best bets for you in the CBD.
It is quite well renovated with the true stunner being the view from the master bedroom – it is definitely one of the major selling points of this apartment.
