Why I like it
Envisioned as a “Forest Town”, Tengah still has some ways to go as Singapore’s next new HDB town.
That said, homeowners who are still interested in living in this estate might want to consider this 5-room flat that has recently reached MOP.
Sized at a spacious 1,238 square feet, the apartment features a regularly-shaped and efficient layout. The apartment originally came with three good-sized bedrooms, two bathrooms, a household shelter, a rather spacious living and dining area (that can comfortably accommodate a study corner), and a kitchen that comes with an enclosed service yard.
However, the current owners have decided to do away with the enclosed yard and opted for an open kitchen, which makes the common living area feel more spacious. Moreover, the designated dining area is spacious enough to accommodate an eight seater dining set, which makes it ideal for big families.
Despite being situated on a low floor, the apartment is still brightly lit and enjoys a good amount of natural light.

Why I like it
Overlooking Woodlands Town Park East, there’s a lot to like about this apartment for folks who are looking to stay in the North side of Singapore.
For one thing, there are a wide variety of amenities near the HDB cluster, which includes a supermarket and food court. Additionally, Woodlands Swimming Complex, Sports Hall, Stadium and Marsiling Mall Hawker Centre are located close by.
For another, the block is a 9-minute stroll to Marsiling MRT Station (North-South line), which houses a variety of other neighbourhood amenities, like a supermarket, a Phoon Huat store and eateries.
And for those who frequently cross borders to Malaysia for an adventure, the block is an 8-minute drive away from Woodlands Checkpoint.
The apartment is 1,216 square feet and features an efficient and simple layout of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living area (that can comfortably accommodate a study), a homeshelter and a kitchen that comes with an enclosed service yard. Why I like it
When it comes to BTOs, Tampines has been a crowd-favourite for those who prefer staying in the East and it’s not hard to see why. There are many perks to living in a mature neighbourhood, which includes better transport facilities, more lifestyle amenities and more school options.
The unit, in this case, is located in Tampines GreenRidges and is under a 15-minute walk to the future Tampines North MRT Station (Cross Island Line) which is earmarked to be completed by 2030. For now, the nearest MRT Station is a 20-minute walk or 6-minute drive to Tampines MRT Station (East-West and Downtown line), along with the Tampines cluster malls (including the recently revamped Tampines One) and Our Tampines Hub.
Other amenities within the neighbourhood include a supermarket and food court (located within the HDB cluster) and it is within a 1-km radius to the popular Poi Ching School. The block is also a walking distance to the Sun Plaza Park and Tampines Eco Green, which sits along the park connector that leads to Pasir Ris Park and Beach.
The apartment is a spacious 1,206 square feet unit that comes with a squarish layout of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sizeable kitchen that comes with a separate service yard and a homeshelter for storage.

Why I like it
Prized for its central location and wide amenities (that comes hand-in-hand with living in a mature estate), Ang Mo Kio is on the top of many Singaporean’s ideal list of neighbourhoods to live in. This block, which overlooks the Teck Ghee Neighbourhood 4 Park and Central Expressway, is no different.
Located under a 15-minute walk to Ang Mo Kio MRT Station (North-South line) and Ang Mo Kio Hub, there are several other amenities nearby. This includes being a short distance from two wet markets and food centres, while more adventurous individuals can consider taking a 18-minute walk (or 4-minute bike ride) to Chomp Chomp Food Centre. That said, the neighbourhood is expecting the opening of Tavistock MRT Station (Cross Island line), which is located under a 15-minute walk from the block. However, this station is only due to complete in 2030.
The unit is 1,216 square feet and comes with a squarish layout that features three good-sized bedrooms, two bathrooms, a household shelter and a kitchen that comes with an enclosed service yard. The current owners have decided to do with an open kitchen, which makes the apartment feel bigger.
The icing on the cake, in my opinion, would have to be that the apartment is a high-floor unit and enjoys unblocked views of the neighbourhood skyline from the living area and all three bedrooms. Not only does it add to the ambience, it also allows for more natural light into the space and improve natural ventilation.

Why I like it
When it comes to centrally-located HDB clusters, there are always the few usual suspects and the Redhill area definitely ranks high on the top of the list.
In addition to being near the city, it is near many lifestyle amenities (access to food and groceries), has one of the most interesting neighbourhood skylines and there are pockets of green spaces to make it a holistic environment to live in.
In this case, Block 96A is located a short 8-minute walk to Redhill MRT Station (East-West line) and Atra, though there is also the alternative of taking a 9-minute stroll to Tiong Bahru MRT Station (East-West line) and Tiong Bahru Plaza instead. It is also within a short walking distance to Redhill Market and Bukit Merah View Market and Hawker Centre.
There is also the option of green spaces like Tiong Bahru Park and Alexandra Park Connector (that leads to Robertson Quay) is a big plus point to the lifestyle offered too. Moreover, Gan Eng Seng Primary School is located close by.
