Private pools are usually associated with larger luxury homes, and much higher price points. But there are still pockets of the market where buyers can find freehold condo units with their own pool space, without crossing the $2 million mark. This week, we looked at a mix of duplex penthouses and ground-floor patio units that come with private pools, whilst still remaining relatively accessible by today’s standards:

The challenge for many buyers today isn't access to information.
It's interpreting that information in a way that makes sense for their finances, goals, and stage of life.
Over time, that's also why we decided to work with agents who shared the same data-driven and advisory-led approach behind our editorial, consultants who could help readers think through decisions more objectively, rather than simply push transactions.
Today, the team has worked with more than 2,000 clients across over $5B in property transactions.

Why I like it
This development is near Toa Payoh MRT station (NSL), and is close to Zhongshan Mall and the many food options along Balestier Road. It is also near the park connector running alongside the Whampoa River toward Kallang Riverside Park.
The unit is a duplex penthouse one-bedroom + study layout with an efficient floor plan and minimal wasted space. The master bedroom comes with a spacious balcony, while the bathroom features a sunken bath, which is relatively uncommon today.
The roof terrace and private pool are located on the upper level, with the pool itself being a fairly usable size. The unit also comes with a home shelter, which is especially practical in a more compact home where additional storage can make a noticeable difference.

This is a single-level two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit with a spacious open terrace where the private pool is located. The terrace is accessible from the living room as well as both bedrooms, and the pool itself is relatively sizeable.
A shelter has been added over part of the terrace so the outdoor space remains usable regardless of weather, while a water point adds practicality for gatherings or outdoor use. The living and dining area features a double-volume ceiling, which creates a more open feel and allows in a strong amount of natural light. Both bedrooms also enjoy similarly high ceilings.
The unit additionally comes with a home shelter for storage.

Why I like it
This development is near Kembangan MRT station (EWL), with plenty of food options nearby along Changi Road. The park connector leading toward East Coast Park and the beach is also within walking distance.
The unit is a duplex two-bedroom, two-bathroom penthouse. The living and dining areas are nicely separated, while the living room opens out to a good-sized balcony that also extends toward the common bedroom.
The common bedroom is located on the lower floor, while the master bedroom occupies the upper level alongside the private pool. The kitchen is open-concept but appears potentially enclosable given the layout. A home shelter is also tucked within the kitchen area.
The private pool sits on the upper floor and enjoys a relatively unblocked view. Despite being part of a low-rise development, the unit still receives a good amount of natural light.

This is a ground-floor two-bedroom, one-bathroom unit with a spacious patio where the private pool is located. The patio is accessible from the living room as well as both bedrooms, and part of it is sheltered with an additional awning for weather protection.
An outdoor kitchen area has also been added. Indoors, the living and dining areas are nicely separated, while the kitchen is tucked into a corner and can potentially be enclosed.
The original store within the kitchen has been converted into a second bathroom. Mirror-panelled walls in the dining area and kitchen help create a greater sense of space and brightness. Despite being on the ground floor, the unit still receives a good amount of natural light.
