Perhaps to no one’s surprise, but the East is chock full of interestingly done up units – so much so that we’ve decided to continue our search this week with District 15.
If you haven’t done so already, we’ve just released our Amber Park review, and it does look like there’s going to be lots of intriguing new properties added to the area in the upcoming years.

1Garden Park Residences
$1,250,000
Project: | Garden Park Residences |
---|---|
District | 15 |
Address: | 25 Lorong M Telok Kurau 425310 |
Tenure: | Freehold |
Size: | 861 sqft |
$PSF: | $1,451.80 |
Developer: | Boulevard Residences Pte Ltd |
TOP | 2015 |
Why I like it
For those looking for a stylish bachelor pad, this is a very interesting unit at Garden Park Residences. Clad in an overall sleek black theme, it looks really modern and I especially like the unique details like a popup TV from the kitchen counter and those angular high roof details. The best part? You have your own private dipping pool on the outside as this is a ground floor unit as well. It is a sizeable 2 bed 1 bath unit at 861 square feet.
If you are interested to know more about the development, Garden Park Residences is a freehold project built in 2015 with just 36 units. In terms of MRT accessibility, this isn’t the best though, it’s too far a walk from Eunos MRT although the upcoming Marine Terrace MRT station will be a better bet at about a 10 minute walk.

Why I like it
This is a very generously sized 1 bedroom penthouse unit at 1,561 square feet. It could not be more different from the one that Ryan chose, as this one is nearly double the size and located on the top floor of the development. Admittedly, it isn’t very high up (just 5 stories) but most of this area is quite low rise anyway.
For a couple that isn’t looking to have kids, this represents a very differentiated option from the norm. Coming into the unit, it’s a very short entranceway before you get exposed to the biggest selling point, that really high ceiling space in the living and dining area. That lovely exposed brick feature wall adds a ton of character to the space, as does the staircase which leads you to the bedroom and outdoor terrace area.
And unlike many 1 bedroom units out there, the living and dining spaces here are exemplary – great for couples that like to entertain a lot. As with most of the developments along this stretch, the walk to the MRT isn’t great for those that hate to walk – at about 10 minutes from the upcoming Marine Parade MRT.

3Berkeley Residences
$1,250,000
Project: | Berkeley Residences |
---|---|
District | 15 |
Address: | 11 Lorong N Telok Kurau 425141 |
Tenure: | Freehold |
Size: | 764 sqft |
$PSF: | $1,636.13 |
Developer: | Bvlgari Park Residences Pte. Ltd. |
TOP | 2015 |
Why I like it
This is another tiny development in the Telok Kurau vicinity. It is freehold and built in 2015 with just 22 units. You do get a rooftop pool though, which isn’t bad at all considering the size of the development. You even have a small playground there too. The unit is sized in line with most new launches today, at 764 square feet for a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom unit.
The kitchen is on the small side here, but that leaves you with a good amount of space for the living and dining. Furnishing-wise, the unit has been done up in a rather contemporary style.

4AALTO
$4,100,000
Project: | AALTO |
---|---|
District | 15 |
Address: | 193 Meyer Road 437981 |
Tenure: | Freehold |
Size: | 1,959 sqft |
$PSF: | $2,092.90 |
Developer: | Hong Leong Holdings Ltd |
TOP | 2012 |
Why I like it
Even if you don’t stay in the East, the Aalto is probably one of the more well known condos in the area. Completed in 2012, it is a freehold project with 196 units – and even despite the low number of units it does have a good amount of facilities. A good sized pool, gym, and even a tennis court – something that is getting increasingly less common in smaller new launches today.
As a premium project, this 4 bedroom unit is a very decent size at 1,959 square feet. You have a private lift that opens up to the living and dining, and a wet and dry kitchen too. Out of the 4 bedrooms, 2 will come with an attached bathroom, and the master bedroom even has the perk of its own balcony.
If you can afford the price tag, you’re more than likely to own a car. Still, it doesn’t hurt that the upcoming Tanjong Katong MRT station will be just a minute walk away.

5Seventy St Patrick’s
$2,450,000
Project: | Seventy St Patrick’s |
---|---|
District | 15 |
Address: | 84 Saint Patrick’s Road 424183 |
Tenure: | Freehold |
Size: | 1,195 sqft |
$PSF: | $2,050.21 |
Developer: | UOL Development (St Patrick) Pte Ltd |
TOP | 2017 |
Why I like it
I like the decor of this unit. That black and wood theme is simple, and makes it easy for any oncoming owner to pair with existing furniture. The layout is decent too, squarish and regular so no real surprises there.
This is a decently sized 1,195 square feet 3 bedroom ground floor unit at Seventy St Patrick’s. As with many of the developments here, it is freehold having only just been completed in 2017 with just 186 units. As you can probably tell by the name, it is in close proximity to Saint Patrick’s School and just right outside the upcoming Marine Terrace MRT station.
