This week, we decided to focus on well designed (which of course, is totally subjective), ready to move in houses.
So even if you cannot view physically during this phase 2 of the circuit breaker period, hopefully some of these eye candies can tide you over.
From glitzy penthouse units in River Valley to older walk up apartments in Tiong Bahru, we’ve covered quite a nice spectrum of units here.

Here we go, these are the Units Of The Week for the week of 8 June 2020.

1Mutiara Crest
$5,300,000
| Project | Mutiara Crest | District | 10 |
| Address | 2 Jalan Mutiara | Tenure | Freehold |
| Size | 3,983 sqft | $PSF | $1,330.66 |
| Developer | SB Development Pte Ltd | TOP | 2001 |
Why I like it
This boutique development enjoys a convenient location close to Great World City as well as the upcoming Great World MRT station on the Thomson East Coast line. We’ve expounded on the benefits of living in this area quite a bit already – so I’ll leave it at that.
There are only 37 units, so yes, it is ideal for those who value privacy. That said, the external facade of the building does leave a lot to be desired. Not in terms of upkeep, but more of the dated design.
However, it is a whole different world on the inside of this penthouse. Spanning 3 levels with a private lift and a stunning feature staircase – it looks the part of a proper designer penthouse. Granted, not everyone will be appreciative of the more “outstanding” design, but for those who do this will be one to view for sure.

2OUE Twin Peaks
$2,900,000
| Project | OUE Twin Peaks | District | 09 |
| Address | 33 Leonie Hill Road | Tenure | 99 years |
| Size | 1,055 sqft | $PSF | $2,748.82 |
| Developer | Cove Development Pte Ltd | TOP | 2014 |
Why I like it
If cutting edge design is important to you, you would no doubt have the Bill Bensley designed condo as an option on your list. The OUE Twin Peaks is probably the most blinged out development that we have reviewed so far.
The grounds and swimming pool give off a luxurious Bali-inspired resort type vibe and the private dining rooms are something quite special as well.
On the inside, this 2 bedder unit features a more minimalistic approach, with furnitures pieces from designers like Charles & Ray Eames, and Tom Dixon – ready to move in if you are a fan of the design.

3Haig Eleven
$1,880,000
| Project | Haig Eleven | District | 15 |
| Address | 11 Haig Eleven | Tenure | Freehold |
| Size | 1,560 sqft | $PSF | $1,205.13 |
| Developer | Springlife Properties Pte Ltd | TOP | 2006 |
Why I like it
This 3 bedroom designer penthouse in the East features a really lovely interior. In my opinion, it’s not too outlandish – I think most people would find it quite stylish and easy on the eye.
Although it is a penthouse, Haig 11 is really only 5 stories high – so don’t expect any kind of amazing view from here. But being located in a landed estate, you do get relatively unblocked views all around, which is a good enough consolation.

4Tiong Bahru Walk Up
$1,100,001
| Project | Tiong Bahru Walk Up | District | 03 |
| Address | Tiong Poh Road | Tenure | 99 years |
| Size | 991 sqft | $PSF | $1,109.99 |
| Developer | – | – | 2016 |
Why I like it
We have featured walk up apartments in Tiong Bahru numerous times already, but its hard to really move away from this area because of the nature of the environment – creative people just love living in this area.
The fittings in the apartment is not of a luxurious nature. Instead, it is rather more homely and comforting, erring a bit on the quirky side of things. The New York style loft windows are another unique characteristic, something that you definitely wouldn’t find in most other developments in Singapore.
So if you are looking for something that has more character, this will be one to look out for.

5Waterscape Cavenagh
$2,325,000
| Project | Waterscape @ Cavenagh | District | 09 |
| Address | 65 Cavenagh Road | Tenure | Freehold |
| Size | 1,033 sqft | $PSF | $2,251.31 |
| Developer | Cavenagh Properties Pte Ltd | TOP | 2014 |
Why I like it
I don’t fancy the location of this one even though it enjoys a central location – you really still have to own a car to reap the benefits.
That said, if your priority is a well designed space more than anything (without having to deal with the hassle of renovation), this 2 bedroom unit offers a good blend of space and stylish living.
