It’s not just your imagination – Executive Condos (ECs) really do tend to be further from MRT stations; we’ve briefly touched on this in a previous article. However, it’s not a universal fact. There are some ECs that manage to keep both that sweet lower price point, while still being within walking distance of an MRT station.
In this article, we’ve picked out all the executive condos that are under a 1 kilometre radius of an MRT station (the limit of what most home buyers consider “walking distance”). We’ve also sorted them from closest to furthest, so you can pick based on a distance that’s tolerable to you:
A quick note on time and walking distance:
Age | Average Pace |
20 to 29 | 80.4 to 81.6 metres / minute |
30 to 39 | 80.4 to 85.8 metres / minute |
40 to 49 | 83.4 to 85.8 metres / minute |
50 to 59 | 74.4 to 80.4 metres / minute |
60 to 69 | 67.8 to 75.6 metres / minute |
(Ps. We don’t know why the average walking speed for 40 to 49 is so fast either, but that’s what this Healthline guide says!)
