Want the spaciousness and privacy of a landed home, and the community feeling of a condo? Cluster houses are likely the best bet for your next home buy.
Like traditional landed homes, when you buy a cluster house, you essentially own your plot of land, and get to renovate and furnish your home (multi-storey, entrances, parking lot, etc.) to your liking.
Unlike traditional landed homes, however, cluster houses are gated properties developed with some condo elements: think shared condo facilities like a swimming pool, gym, and function room. They’re also managed by the MCST.

Why I like it
I like that this 6-bedroom cluster house has a clear divide between the living and bedroom areas, it really helps create a sense of privacy. Having the living, dining, and kitchen on the first floor, and the bedrooms spread across the upper floors makes it perfect for both entertaining and relaxing. The basement adds extra space with a guest room, recreational room, and utility area, giving the home plenty of flexibility.
I also love how natural light floods the rooms thanks to the sliding glass doors and large windows opening to terraces. The kitchen patio stands out with its retractable awning, so you can enjoy the outdoors no matter the weather. Plus, having private parking for two cars is a definite plus. The location is convenient too – just a short walk to Mayflower MRT, markets, and parks nearby.

Why I like it
This cluster house is located right along the Straits of Johor, surrounded by other landed homes and cluster houses, which gives it a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. It’s right next to Sembawang Park and Beach, which is convenient for outdoor activities. The development is freehold and fairly new, having just obtained its TOP in 2019, so the house shouldn’t need much renovation if the design suits the owner.
The house has six bedrooms spread over four floors and a basement. All bedrooms are ensuite, with two having walk-in closets. There’s a lift serving every floor, which is practical, especially for those with elderly family members. The living and dining areas are separated, and both the living room and kitchen open to patios. There’s also a roof terrace on the top floor. The house gets good natural light and includes private parking for two cars.
