Inside A Modern Rustic Maisonette Home Designed To Be A Pet Paradise

In this week’s episode, we take you on a tour of a charming maisonette home located in the North of Serangoon.
Spanning 1,670 square feet, this executive maisonette has undergone extensive renovations, with approximately $200,000 invested in creating its current form.

Let’s start at the entryway, where dramatic floor tiles and wooden beams overhead lead the way to a rustic feature brick wall.

Moving into the dining area, you’ll immediately feel the warmth and inviting atmosphere. The interior design, while not strictly defined, is focused on making guests feel at home, with spacious hosting areas, soothing color themes, and cozy touches.

Transitioning to the living room, you’ll notice the minimalist yet comfortable furnishings. This versatile space can even transform into a theatre with drawn curtains.

The integration of extra brickwork into a feature wall is a thoughtful touch, showcasing display pieces.

Step out onto the balcony, where metal grills and a high counter create both a catwalk and a perfect spot for morning coffees.

Cat lovers will appreciate the settee and cat ledges, allowing feline friends to enjoy the view.

Moving to the kitchen, you’ll find a galley layout with ample countertop and storage space, along with a separate bath. Glass bifold panels provide flexibility in closing off the kitchen. Nearby, the helper’s room offers easy access to the main door.

Upstairs, the unique design elements in the rooms set this home apart from typical Singaporean homes.
Notably, the master bath is one of the largest you’ll find in a maisonette, featuring a jacuzzi system without sacrificing the shower area.

The homeowners’ love for their pets is evident throughout the home, with a room dedicated to fostering animals, and even an art piece commemorating a beloved pet. This versatile room also serves as a study and painting area.

The master bedroom boasts a more intimate atmosphere with dark hues and character-filled touches.

The walk-in wardrobe, in addition to providing storage, offers a quiet space for reading and relaxation.

As always, special thanks to the homeowners for opening up their home to us.
