Why I like it
Sized at 1,765 square feet, this is a jumbo apartment that comes with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a spacious living area, kitchen and interestingly enough, two store rooms.
Taking a look at the floorplan, this jumbo-sized apartment is a combination of two 3-room apartments which explains why it originally had two entrances, separate kitchens, living rooms and even store rooms. The previous owners have bought over the access balcony to combine the two flats more seamlessly.
Seeing that most walls of the unit are hackable and reconfigurable, this apartment can be easily restored back to its original layout (especially for multi-gen living or those looking to rent part of their apartment) to enjoy more privacy. That said, there’s also the possibility to create another room, depending on how the layout is rearranged.
I also like that there are two ensuite bedrooms (once again, ideal for multi-gen living) and two common bathrooms so everyone can enjoy their own shower space without a need to share.
The access balcony is also a great added area in the house for shoes and other bulky items (if the two storerooms are not enough space). Additionally, the long aisle windows allows plenty of light into the apartment for a naturally well-lit home.
For me though, the other great selling point is in its location.
It would take around a 4-minute walk under the HDB blocks to get to Yio Chu Kang MRT Station (North-South line) and Ang Mo Kio 628 Market & Food Centre is located right across the block. Alternatively, there are multiple coffee shops located under the HDB blocks nearby.
What makes this location great for families is the number of schools within a short walking distance. This includes Yio Chu Kang Secondary School, Presbyterian High School, Mayflower Primary School, Anderson Serangoon Junior College, Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore Institute of Technology and ITE Central.
Ang Mo Kio Town Garden is also nearby, which gives residents a big verdant space to enjoy their outdoor walks or runs.

Why I like it
Part of the Remaking our Heartlands (ROH) project, the Woodlands neighbourhood have seen plenty of upgrades over the past five years and this unit along Street 81 is enjoying the benefits.
This jumbo apartment spans more than 2,000 square feet and comes with five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a huge common area and a store room. Furthermore, the previous owners have also bought over the access balcony, which gives the apartment a designated corner for shoe storage or other bulky items that can’t fit in the store room.
More impressively, there are two entrances to the unit, which makes it ideal for those who’d like to create a dual-key layout or for those who are considering multi-gen living but want to enjoy more privacy.
There are also two ensuite bedrooms and every bedroom is spacious and well-sized to provide a functional and comfortable home. Due to the orientation of the apartment, there’s no exposure to direct afternoon sun, which is ideal for those who want a cooling home.
On top of the functional layout, I do think that its location would be ideal for many families who enjoy living in a neighbourhood with plenty of amenities. Woodlands MRT Station (North-South and Thomson-East Coast line) and Causeway Point are within a short 7-minute walk under the HDB blocks. On the other hand, Woodlands North Plaza, which has a wet market, supermarket and coffee shop is just a short 4-minute walk away.
There are also many schools within the area, with Riverside Secondary School, Republic Polytechnic, Evergreen Secondary School, Woodlands Primary School and Evergreen Primary School located close by.

Why I like it
Ideal for homeowners who want plenty of big and open space throughout their home, this fully-renovated apartment is sized at 1,765 square feet.
Originally, the apartment’s layout was rather unique since it was a combination of a 3-Bedroom apartment and a studio unit. However, the previous owners decided to do a massive overhaul and seamless combine the space into two bedrooms and an art studio (that comes with its own attached bathroom).
Currently, there are three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a massive open-concept kitchen and common area, along with a service yard and a balcony. The master bedroom has also been combined with one of the common bedrooms to create a walk-in wardrobe, which is great for those who need more storage space for their clothes.
What makes this apartment stand out is in its tastefully renovated layout and minimalist design that is easy for future owners to add on to. There are numerous glass doors and windows to make the space feel even more spacious and to allow plenty of natural light in. For those not picky with the interior design and want a move-in ready apartment, this home might be an ideal choice.
This apartment is a corner unit that is located on a high floor, which allows better ventilation and privacy.
While Khatib MRT Station (North-South line) is around a 11-minute walk away, there are plenty of amenities nearby. For one, Wisteria Mall is located right across the HDB block for plenty of food options and a convenient spot to pick up groceries. There are also several coffee shops located under the nearby HDB blocks.
There are several schools across different education levels nearby too, including Northland Primary School, Naval Base Primary School, Orchid Park Secondary School, Chung Cheng High School (Yishun) and Northbrooks Secondary School.

Why I like it
This newly renovated dual-key jumbo apartment is sized at 1,819 square feet and is a combination of a proper 3-bedroom unit and a studio apartment, making it great for big families living together but want more privacy.
With functionality in mind, the apartment comes with four spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, a study space, a huge kitchen, living and dining area, a store room and a balcony. Much of the space has been designed to facilitate big gatherings with an open-concept design to the apartment. As such, the dining area is spacious enough to accommodate a 10 to 12 seater dining set and the open-concept kitchen to facilitate conversations.
There’s also a small space next to the kitchen that is current used as a library, though future owners can easily convert it into a study alcove instead.
For me, the interior design (which is heavily inspired by the English Cottage ID) has to be one of the more outstanding points since it offers a tastefully move-in ready apartment for the next homeowners. Furthermore, there’s plenty of built-in carpentry that has been well-maintained and provides plenty of storage space.
However, this also means that if changes are needed (such as converting the children’s room to a more generic common room), that would incur a fair bit of demolition and renovation costs on the next owner’s part, too.
In terms of its location, Yishun MRT Station (North-South line) and the giga-mall Northpoint City is a 9-minute walk away under the HDB blocks, though there are plenty of amenities located right below the block (including a Giant, FairPrice and McDonald’s). On the other hand, Junction Nine is around a 6-minute walk away.
There are also many schools nearby, including Yishun Town Secondary School, Northland Secondary School, Xishan Primary School, Ahmad Ibrahim Primary School and Chongfu School.
For those who enjoy being near verdant spaces, Yishun Neighbourhood Park is located next to the block.

Why I like it
Located in the East, this jumbo unit is sized at 1,776 square feet and offers ample room for homeowners to create a unique home.
This apartment originally came with four bedrooms and two bathrooms, though the previous owners have converted one of the common bedrooms into a walk-in wardrobe for the master bedrooms. Moreover, all bedrooms are well-sized and able to accommodate a double bed, wardrobe and even a study desk, which makes it functional for big families.
Additionally, the previous owners have hacked down the walls between the living and balcony area, so that the living arrangement feels more spacious. This corner unit is also located on a high floor and enjoys unblocked views of the neighbourhood skyline, so those who prefers a more private and windy environment would like the space.
Currently, the unit offers three good-sized bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious common area, a balcony, a store room, a kitchen and a study alcove.
This apartment is located just across 630 Bedok Reservoir Road Market and Food Centre, which has a wide array of food options and a convenient spot for doing grocery runs. Currently, the nearest MRT Station is at Bedok North Station (Downtown line), which is around a 5-minute walk away.
Telok Kurau Primary School is also within a 1-km radius from the HDB block.
