The Quartz is the quintessential dark horse. It was launched with little fanfare as a heartland condo in 2006 and to many buyers it was seen as too fringe, too new, and the area just a bit too boring at the time. Yet in 2025, it emerged as one of the year’s top performers.
Some aspects of its top performance stems from buyers who enjoyed a degree of first mover advantage, capitalising on the growth in the area: new amenities at nearby Sengkang Grand Mall and the surrounding community hub didn’t exist until 2023. But beyond improvements in the neighbourhood, The Quartz also had hidden advantages we didn’t see till now – from efficient pricing, to larger units in a family-centric area.
