While we’ve been highlighting different districts in the past few issues, this week we’ve decided to do something different in light of the trend of homeowners looking for bigger spaces to live in.
Although many people will be moving back to normal working conditions as 75% of employees can now return back to work, many have realised the liberty of having more space at home.
As such, we’ve chosen to feature a few more spacious units (with big land sizes to boot!)

Here we go, these are the Units Of The Week for the week of 14 April 2021.

1Clementi Park
$3,232,350
Project: | Clementi Park |
---|---|
District: | 21 |
Address: | 137 Sunset Way 597159 |
Tenure: | Freehold |
Size: | 1,959 sqft |
$PSF: | $1,650 |
Developer: | City Development Limited |
TOP: | 1985 |
Why I like it
If my memory serves me correctly, this isn’t the first time we’ve featured a unit from Clementi Park. But as one of the older developments around (it was completed in 1985), it does feature many of the good traits that older developments have over their younger counterparts. For one, the size of land space that you get will be unmatched – same goes for the greenery that you get to enjoy just outside your window (it’s all green).
At 1,959 square feet of space for a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom unit, the size eclipses most new launch units that you will see today as well. The space is exemplary, and you even have an open concept dry kitchen and enclosed wet kitchen thrown into the mix. I like the decor too, it’s still quite classy and definitely has a very homely feel to it as well.

2Parc Oasis
$1,250,000
Project: | Parc Oasis |
---|---|
District: | 22 |
Address: | 43 Jurong East Avenue |
Tenure: | 99-year Leasehold |
Size: | 1,076 sqft |
$PSF: | $1,161.71 |
Developer: | Marcobilt Developers Pte Ltd |
TOP: | 1995 |
Why I like it
For those unfamilar with Parc Oasis, it is a beast of a development. It boasts 739,103 square feet of land, with 950 units and it is also in close walking distance to Chinese Garden MRT station on the East West line.
Other than that massive land size, some of its bigger claim to fame points are its 4 tennis courts plus a golf range as well.
This 2 bedroom unit is a sizeable one at 1,076 square feet. But what is more remarkable is really the interior design. Unless you fervently dislike the colour blue, I’m sure most people would take a liking to the decor of the space. It’s distinctive, striking and has a luxurious undertone to it all.

3Mandarin Gardens
$968,888
Project: | Mandarin Gardens |
---|---|
District: | 15 |
Address: | 1 Siglap Road 448906 |
Tenure: | 99-year Leasehold |
Size: | 732 sqft |
$PSF: | $1,323.62 |
Developer: | Mandarin Gardens Pte Ltd |
TOP: | 1986 |
Why I like it
Given I’ve done a review on Mandarin Gardens previously, I just had to pick it this week. That gigantic amount of space that you get on its common grounds is just something that you rarely see today, and if you buy a high enough floor unit (with the right facing), that sea view is just quite something as well.
This unit is actually a 1 bedroom previously, but has been cleverly reconfigured to a 2 bedroom unit at a size of 732 square feet. It isn’t going to set the world alight with its size, but it is really well done up – basically move-in condition or for renting out!

4Caribbean at Keppel Bay
$5,500,000
Project: | Caribbean at Keppel Bay |
---|---|
District: | 04 |
Tenure: | 99-year Leasehold |
Size: | 721 sqft |
$PSF: | $1,553.23 |
Developer: | Keppel Bay Pte Ltd |
Lease Start Date: | 2004 |
Why I like it
Despite Carribbean at Keppel Bay being overshadowed by its prettier and newer neighbours such as Corals or Reflections, and to a certain extent, the upcoming The Reef at King’s Dock, it is still a firm favourite by many who want a waterfront view in Singapore as it still does boast larger unit sizes.
This is a stunning penthouse unit sized at 3,541 square feet for a 4 bedroom 4 bathroom unit. Do note that a large bulk of its size is catered for with that open roof terrace, but that’s really what you want in a sea view facing unit anyway – to have a good sized space to take in the views plus entertain when necessary.
– Stanley

5Pine Grove
$1,800,000
Project: | Pine Grove |
---|---|
District: | 21 |
Tenure: | 99-year Leasehold |
Size: | 1,755 sqft |
$PSF: | $1,025.64 psf |
Developer: | HUDC Housing |
TOP: | 1984 |
Why I like it
More people might know of Pine Grove as that really big development that has tried to en-bloc multiple times. But with a land size of over 800,000 square feet, that was always going to be a challenge.
It may be an old ex-HUDC, but it still does have facilities such as a swimming pool (although a little small), a gym, minimart, and a tennis court.
This unit at 1,755 square feet for a 3 bedroom unit is definitely very spacious for its type, and with literally no balcony space that is all indoor space that you can enjoy.
