Freehold homes in Singapore to stay in now with future en bloc potential
Freehold homes in Singapore will get rarer and rarer as the years go by. Judging from the Government Land Sales (GLS) programme, you can see that all of the new releases will be 99-year leasehold land. If you take a look at the en bloc history (which is admittedly not a very long period to compare), you can see that the last en bloc peak was in 2007, and ten years later on in 2017 currently, so seemingly it is a ten-year cycle.
If you want to be prepared for the next potential few cycles but yet want a comfy freehold home to stay we have the ultimate list for you! As usual, these are all freehold homes within a 500m radius of an MRT station. Of course, the only difference now is these are freehold homes from age 11 to 20 years!
