Tampines GreenRidges is the first housing parcel in Tampines North, and wow does it look quite different from many other HDB developments! It was designed by LAUD Architects and was meant to “merge” with the larger urban concept of “the Green Tapestry” of Tampines Town.
So the big draw here is that it is like living in a park. As with the name of the development, the different heights of the blocks and the green strips are meant to mimic mountain ridges. Moreover, the blocks here have been staggered to maximise views of the inner landscape for residents.
The development reached its TOP in 2019 and was the first public housing project to be launched in the new Tampines North neighbourhood. The fully self-sustaining development boasts multiple retail options like a hairdresser, medical clinic, F&B options and even a 24-hour Sheng Siong supermarket! However, it is self-sustaining for a reason: it’s not located within walking distance of an MRT, although residents can look forward to the upcoming Tampines North MRT (CRL) in 2030. So would Tampines GreenRidges be a development to consider? Watch the full tour to find out!
