Inside An Architect’s Own Curved 3-Room HDB Home In Bedok North

This week, we visit an architect’s own home in Bedok North.
Kenneth and his puppy Jinko are staying in a 3-room HDB sized at 732 square feet. He chose a neutral palette and restricted the choice of materials to just 2 or 3 to keep things consistent.
Kenneth tried a different design language here, with a single horizon line of 0.9m that carries throughout the space.
One of the highlights of the home is definitely the dramatic arch just behind the dining that he uses as an ever-changing gallery.
He used a custom long 3m dining and study table which also helps to accentuate the length of the space.
Finally, the master bathroom was expanded to twice the normal size to accommodate a proper shower. Kenneth also used tiles here that remind you of the surface of the moon.
Special thanks to Kenneth for taking the time to show us around his elegant home! For more, please visit: https://www.instagram.com/quarters.sg/
