This week we visit a 4-room 990 square feet BTO home in Tampines. Homeowners Ryan and Ella have stayed there for 3 years already, and have named their space the “AAAH House”. They both had contrasting views when it came to their home, Ryan was more monochromatic, and Ella, had a preference for colours.
They chose to open up the space more as it was initially a little dark and to incorporate a more private area for a workspace they installed wooden panelled doors to be able to separate the areas when they needed to.
As for the kitchen they opted for function over aesthetics, and went with a slightly darker theme. They also chose to DIY the handles for the drawers for a little personal creative touch.
For the master bedroom, they went with a simple platform bed and 2 wardrobes that are laid out like a walk-in wardrobe. What’s really interesting here is that you can push the sliding door aside to use the platform as another sitting area!
Special thanks to Ryan and Ella for showing us around their creative home.
