Their brand was inspired by moulding functionalism and elements of Finnish nature together, which can be observed in their sleek and practical designs. Now, Artek has a long list of catalogues consisting of clean-lined furniture and lighting while playing with organic elements like wood and clay. Fun fact of the day: the founder of Artek, Alvar Aalto, was the one who developed Finnish wood through woodworking techniques - maybe this gives a little insight to the story of Artek.
