DETAILS

Joe O’Donnell doesn’t just paint reality; he poodles it into his own vibrant world. In this digital playground, pixels dance with life, and paint strokes are digitized on the canvas. It’s like Impressionism 2.0, as the pieces by this Manchester-based illustrator prompt viewers to refocus, to fill in the gaps, to grasp the complete image. Beyond the initial graphic impact, the simplicity of his animal subjects exudes charm. Whether it’s a dog here or a rooster there, Joe O’Donnell’s hand brings forth an abundance of innocence. A beatific smile seems to naturally appear on the faces of those who observe his creations.

ABOUT THE BRAND

KIBLIND Atelier

Established in 2004, KIBLIND Magazine is a quarterly publication dedicated to contemporary illustration. Since 2017, KIBLIND Atelier has expanded the magazine's artistic endeavours by producing original posters and illustrated books employing various printing techniques, notably risography. Risography, akin to silk-screening, is an environmentally conscious printing method. It involves layer-by-layer colour treatment and utilizes direct tones, resulting in vibrant and intense inks derived from vegetable oil and devoid of solvents.
