From the confines of their homes, an idea of publishing this book came up, inspired by the simplicity and integrity of Frederik’s cooking. Japanese artist Masanao Hirayama was invited to complement Frederik’s photographs with his subtle linework.
The result is All the Stuff We Cooked: 44 recipes for simple yet thoughtful dishes, offering a glimpse into Frederik’s acclaimed restaurants in Copenhagen – Atelier September, Apollo Bar, and Kafeteria – as well as the meals he prepares at home for his family. The heartfelt response from readers who bought the book and tried the recipes was incredibly moving. In this new edition, they’ve included five additional recipes: “some of the stuff we cooked that didn’t make it into the first edition,” adding the perfect finishing touch.
